LaMere earns All-Academic individual, women earn team award

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The NCAA Division III Cross Country Academic Awards were announced by the USTFCCCA on Feb. 11 with regards to the fall 2014 season.
Ian LaMere was recognized as a member of the 2015 Division III Men's All-Academic individuals list, while the women Pioneers won the All-Academic team award.
LaMere is currently a sophomore from Green Bay, Wis. majoring in electrical engineering.
At the 2014 Midwest Regionals held on Nov. 15, LaMere took seventh place overall in the 8K with a time of 24:18.80.
In order to be nominated for an individual all-academic award an athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have finished in the top 25 percent of athletes at regionals.
The women accumulated an average GPA of 3.20 behind the leadership and motivation of head coach Tom Antczak.
To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater and competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each.
