Volleyball takes down Stevens Point in 5 sets
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Volleyball team defeated University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 5 sets on Parents Night Saturday night on Bo Ryan Court for their second conference win of the season.

The Pioneers won 25-23, 17-25, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11 to improve to 14-6 overall (2-1 WIAC). The Pointers fall to 16-5 overall (2-1 WIAC).
Sophomore Kaite Asche led the Pioneers offensively with an efficient 13 kills on just 24 attempts (.375 hitting percentage). Asche added one solo and two block assists to lead the team defensively on the net.
Sophomore CJ Johnson tallied a double double with 10 kills (.280 hitting percentage) and twelve assists while keeping the Stevens Point defense guessing all night. Johnson also recorded two block assists.
Freshman Stephanie Kalinowski had 27 digs and controlled the backcourt for the Pioneers.
Freshman Sam Rossetti played in the final four sets of the match and finished with 28 assists. Sophomore Olivia Kudronowicz tallied 12 kills and led the team with three service aces.
The Pioneers travel to Whitewater on Wednesday to continue their conference schedule at 7:00 pm.
