Three Pioneers earn all-WIAC honors
Three UW-Platteville volleyball players earned A's for their performances during the 2016 season. Outside hitters Allison Jensen and Amber Williams earned honorable mention all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team honors, and Ashlee Moore was named to the sportsmanship team.

Three UW-Platteville volleyball players earned A's for their performances during the 2016 season. Outside hitters Allison Jensen and Amber Williams earned honorable mention all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team honors, and Ashlee Moore was named to the sportsmanship team.
Jensen, a junior from Lowden, Iowa (North Cedar High School), ranked 10th in the conference in kills per set at 2.66. She led the Pioneers with 308 kills during the season. Jensen recorded a season-best 21 kills against Grinnell in September. Williams, a senior from Milwaukee (Hamilton), was 18th in the WIAC in kills with 250, an average of 2.31 per set. She recorded 17 kills twice during matches this season. Jansen led UW-Platteville with 3.01 points per set, and Williams was second at 2.54.
Moroe, a junior middle hitter from West Bend (East), ranked seventh in the league with 95 blocks, an average of 0.87 per set.
The Pioneers were 11-21 overall and 1-6 in the WIAC, with the lone conference win coming in a five-set thriller over tri-champion UW-Whitewater.
