Pioneers defeat #11 Warhawks
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team defeated the UW-Whitewater Warhawks, ranked 11th in the country, on Wednesday at Williams Fieldhouse.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team defeated the UW-Whitewater Warhawks, ranked 11th in the country, on Wednesday at Williams Fieldhouse.
The Pioneers' defeated the Warhawks in five sets 3-2, 20-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-19, and 15-11 in their final home match of the season.
Senior right side hitter Amber Williams recorded 16 kills for the Pioneers, followed by junior outside hitter Allison Jensen who logged 13. Junior setter Allie Carter had 41 assists in the five sets. Sophomore setter Grace Austin, senior libero Lindsey Decker, and Jensen each logged 10 digs, respectively.
The Pioneers, 10-18 on the year, return to action on Friday at noon and Saturday at 2 p.m. against Iowa Wesleyan University and Spalding University for the Iowa Wesleyan University Triangular in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
The Warhawks dropped to 19-6 with the upset loss and dropped out of their first-place tie in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association. They are ranked 11th in the national American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.
