Freshman Issac Wiegel started off the night with a win by forfeit at 125-pounds. Sophomore Chase Katzenmeyer followed with a technical fall win (20-5) over UW-Stevens Point's Wyatt Thiel at 141-pounds.
Senior Grant Wedepohl then put a stop to the Pointer's two pins and a technical fall run by defeating James Borgen in a 6-1 decision at 174-pounds. Senior Jon Goetz followed quickly after with 4-0 decision over Zack Moon at 184-pounds.
A technical fall would secure the Pioneers' fate, but sophomore Lucius Rinehart went on to finish the match strong for the Pioneers with a 12-1 major decision over Steven Anderson at 285-pounds.
Following the night's match, the Pioneers fall to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the WIAC for duals while UW-Stevens Point improves to 3-2 and 1-2 in the WIAC.
The Pioneers will take one day off before returning to action Friday, Dec. 7 at UW-Eau Claire.
