Pioneers Sweep Muskie Quad
After a tough performance at the most recent Pioneer wrestling duals, UW-Platteville came out on Saturday and swept the Muskie Quad, defeating St. Johns (Minn.) 35-11, Lakeland College 31-17, and MSOE 35-19.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- After a tough performance at the most recent Pioneer wrestling duals, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville came out on Saturday and swept the Muskie Quad, defeating St. Johns (Minn.) 35-11, Lakeland College 31-17, and MSOE 35-19.
The team united Saturday as 12 separate Pioneer wrestlers saw victories throughout the day.
The 125-pound junior Cole Ferguson along with 149-pound sophomore Chase Wiggins were the only two who saw victories against all three opponents.
184-pound junior Michael Cole, 285-pound sophomore Brandon Boyle, 125-pound sophomore Zach Stenger, and 157-pound junior Gunner Melstrand each had two out of three victories apiece.
A few others who saw victories were 165-pound senior Randy Wade, 141-pound freshman Jeremy Peterson, and 174-pound Trenton Larson over Lakeland College.
The Pioneers take the mat again on Jan. 31 at Dubuque, Iowa in the Duhawk Open.
