Puttkammer is 16th in conference

UW-Platteville's Krista Puttkammer moved up nine spots from the first day to the second and finished 16th at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's golf championships in Janesville.

Puttkammer, a sophomore from Tomah, dropped 10 strokes off her Saturday score and shot an 87 Sunday. She finished the two-day tournament at 184.

UW-Oshkosh, behind medalist Markka Farrington, won the championship.

The Pioneers, in just their second year of a varsity sport, did not have enough golfers to count in the team standings. Tasha Terrill, a junior from Mineral Point, was 29th.
