Pioneers open season at Falcon Invitational
PRESCOTT, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team teed off the Fall 2024 season at UW-River Falls’ Falcon Invitational where the team placed fourth of 13 teams. Competition started on Saturday and wrapped up Sunday at the Clifton Hills Golf Course.

The Pioneers combined Saturday's score of 345 with 334 on Sunday for a 36-hole team score of 679. UW-Stout led the pool with a two-day team score of 633.
Junior Taylor Swalve tied for seventh overall out of 74 golfers. Swalve led the way for the Pioneers shooting 85 on day one and tying her 18-hole career best of 77 on Sunday for a total of 162.
Junior Madison Berg (86, 86) and sophomore Danielle Bruecker (87, 85) tied for 20th overall and shot 172. One stroke behind was freshman Chloe Chappell who made her collegiate debut with a score of 173 after rounds of 87 and 86.
Senior Jada Chang tied for 30th as an individual and combined rounds of 90 and 87 for a total of 177.
Senior Nicole Sedam tied for 40th overall with a score of 180 (86, 94). Senior Emma Cage combined 103 and 92 for a total of 195 and junior Hannah Tysse rounded out the weekend with a total of 204 (103, 101).
The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 7 when they travel to Eau Claire for the Georgianni Invitational.
