Pioneers finish sixth in WIAC-packed tournament
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team took sixth place at the Mad Dawg Invitational in Stevens Point, Wis. on Sunday and Monday, where a number of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams also competed.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team took sixth place at the Mad Dawg Invitational in Stevens Point, Wis. on Sunday and Monday, where a number of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams also competed.
Sophomore Stephanie Baribeau and senior Taylor Egnarski both finished well for the Pioneers, taking 12th and 18th place out of 52 golfers. Baribeau improved her score by ten strokes from day one to day two, while sophomore Lauren Frances improved her score by 12 strokes.
Sophomore Lindsey Neitzel finished with a 196 for the tournament while freshman Hannah Baker finished with a 199.
The Pioneers conclude their season at the WIAC Championships hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 9-11 at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa, Wis.
