Remarks from Coach McNiff
When asked about how the reserves contributed head coach Kelly McNiff said, "Wins like this are because of our entire roster. It starts with everyone pushing each other in practice. That way, when adversity hits, be it injuries or foul trouble; each player is ready to step up when needed." McNiff continued to say, "We preach poise and composure when under pressure. When things started to unravel in the third quarter, our poise and composure was evident." When asked about the team staying in the moment during Wartburg's third quarter run. McNiff also reflected on the busy stretch of five games in 10 days to start the season and said, "We now know that when we focus on doing the little things right and controlling what we can control, we can compete with anyone."
