Horstman, Domask named All-WIAC, Hansen All-Sportsmanship
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Junior Morgan Horstman and sophomore Maiah Domask each earned a spot on the 2019 All-WIAC Women's Basketball Team while senior Kassie Hansen was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Junior Morgan Horstman and sophomore Maiah Domask each earned a spot on the 2019 All-WIAC Women's Basketball Team while senior Kassie Hansen was named to the All-Sportsmanship team. The two receive their honors after leading the Pioneers to their most successful season since 2014-15.
Horstman makes her first All-WIAC appearance after leading the Pioneers in scoring with an average of 14.2 points while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 32.9 percent from 3-point range and a team-high one 3-pointer per contest. Horstman led the team with 1.8 steals per game and was second with 5.5 rebounds per game. Horstman scored in double-digits in 21 of the 26 games this season including four 20+ point games. Horstman scored a season-high 26 points on Feb. 13 against UW-Whitewater and was just one point shy of her career high.
Domask also makes her first All-WIAC appearance after averaging 13.9 points and leading the team with a field goal percentage of 44.2. Domask led the team with 9.3 rebounds per game which included 3.3 offensive rebounds per game. Domask's scoring and rebounding number led her to 11 double doubles on the season. Domask scored 20+ points four times this season which included her setting a career-high of 22 points on Nov. 24 against Augsburg and then matching it again on Jan. 16 against UW-Eau Claire.
Hansen was the fourth-highest scorer for the Pioneers this season and finished third with a field goal percentage of 42.1. Hansen has appeared in 76 games and started in 63 throughout her career and carries averages of 6.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on 41.8 percent shooting.
