Three Pioneers record double-digit points in WIAC win
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team defeated the UW-La Crosse Eagles on Saturday 84-75 in La Crosse, Wis.

LA CROSSE, Wis. —The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team defeated the UW-La Crosse Eagles on Saturday 84-75 in La Crosse, Wis.
Three players logged double-digit points for the Pioneers, including junior Elisa Bilderback, freshman Morgan Horstman and junior Morgan Hartman. The three players logged 20, 16 and 13 points respectively for the Pioneers, who improved to 5-14 on the season.
After falling behind 22-17 in the first quarter, the Pioneers came back in the second to get ahead 39-37 at the break.
With two ties early in the third quarter, the Pioneers fought for the lead before pulling away from the Eagles throughout the remainder of the third, leading by eight points at one point, and found themselves ahead 57-53 to start the fourth.
Although the Eagles came close, it was all Pioneers in the fourth quarter. With Bilderback scoring nine of her 20 points in the fourth quarter alone, the Pioneers pushed to an 84-75 victory over UW-La Crosse.
The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 3 against UW-Oshkosh at Williams Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
