PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Stacy Clark was named Women's Basketball Capital One Academic All-District® on Thursday.
Clark made the honor squad, which consists of NCAA Division III student-athletes in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, for her work on the field and in the classroom.
The senior forward from Riverdale, Iowa, currently ranks third in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with 13.2 points per game and is seventh in field goal percentage, shooting 47.9 percent. She was named first team All-WIAC in her first season with the Pioneers last year. Clark led the WIAC with a 53.8 field goal percentage and finished third in scoring (16.5 ppg.) and fifth in rebounding (7.3 rpg.) in last season. Her 430 points in 2013-14 ranked her eighth all-time in school history.
An elementary education major, Clark carries a 3.96 grade-point average and is also an academic all-WIAC selection.
To be eligible for the honor squad, a player must be a sophomore or older, be a starter or significant reserve, and be carrying at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average. Nominees are then voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
