Women's Basketball falls to No. 21 UW-Oshkosh, 60-47
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team could not handle the ball well Wednesday night as they lost to UW-Oshkosh 60-47 at Bo Ryan Court.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team could not handle the ball well Wednesday night as they lost to UW-Oshkosh 60-47 at Bo Ryan Court.
The Pioneers shot 29.3 percent overall, going 17-58 from the field and committing 16 turnovers.
The Pioneers started the game going 1-7, lacked defensive presence down low and were quickly down 7-0 to start the game.
Senior guard Rachel Cropp finally broke the streak with a quick score about four minutes in, 7-2.
The Pioneers came within one at 12:57 as senior forward Alyssa Krajco scored on an open shot, but a few good Titans possessions brought the lead back up to five, 11-6.
Krajco led all Pioneers for the night with 13 points, while grabbing six boards.
The Pioneers came within one, four times in the first 12 minutes of the game, but the Titans were able to hold them off and create separation.
Stuck at 12, the Pioneers were not able to score for several minutes until Krajco was sent to the line, where she went 1-2, making it 20-13.
A Cropp three brought the game back within four, but Titans responded with a three of their own to bring the lead back to seven with 4:16 left in the half, 23-16.
The Pioneers were unable to close the gap, as the Titans ran into the locker room with a nine-point lead, 27-18.
The Pioneers started the game shooting 28.6 percent going 8-28 in the first half and 1-10 from three-point range.
The Pioneers started the second half with back-to-back turnovers, followed by a missed shot as the Titans expanded on their lead, 31-18.
The first basket of the second half came at the 16:26 mark, when junior Taylor Lorbiecki made her way to the basket for a layup, 36-20.
Within the first six minutes of the second half, the Pioneers committed four turnovers.
Senior Taylor Buckmaster was able to bring the deficit to single digits her only shot of the night, making it 40-31, but the Titans responded quickly with a three, 43-31.
The Pioneers only netted seven points in the first fifteen minutes of the second half.
Krajco scored her 13th point of the night with about two minutes remaining to help the Pioneers creep within 12, 55-43, but UW-Oshkosh remained resilient as they ran off with a 60-47 victory.
The Pioneers travel to UW-Stevens Point on Feb. 7 to take on the Pointers.
