Krajco named WIAC Player of the Week
UW-Platteville's Alyssa Krajco was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Alyssa Krajco was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Krajco helped the Pioneers to a 1-1 record during the week. She totaled 39 points, averaging 19.5 for the week, while grabbing a total of 26 rebounds.
In the victory over UW-Whitewater, Krajco led all scorers with 18 points and all rebounders with 16, while shooting 89 percent from the free throw line (8-9).
In the loss to UW-Superior on Jan. 31, Krajco shot 64 percent, going 9-for-14 from the field to net a game-high 21 points.
The senior forward received her first conference weekly honor on Nov. 18.
Krajco and the Pioneers host No. 21 UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
