4x100m relay breaks school record and Schilling accelerates in the 400m hurdles at Augustana Invitational

The day began with the Pioneer 4x100m relay breaking the school record. The relay team of Antgetina Bean, Haley Ott, Chenoa Stuhr, and Gwen Orr ran 49.15 seconds, breaking the previous record by almost a quarter of a second.
In the 200m dash, Orr ran 25.98 for third place and Ott went on to run a personal best, clocking 26.38 seconds for fourth place. Stuhr ran 26.80 in the 200m dash, and running a personal best Sydney Soderback ran 27.27 seconds. In the 400m dash, Kayla Schneider took eighth place with a personal best time of 1:00.40.
The biggest personal best came from sophomore Katie Schilling, as she shaved off about three seconds off her 400m hurdle time. Schilling ran 1:03.70 to win the event. Her time places her among the top 20 in NCAA DIII in the 400m hurdles.
Brittany Ehlen won the pole vault with a jump of 3.57m (11-8.5).
Rachel Beuthin placed ninth in hammer throw with a throw of 43.77m (143-7.25), fifth in the discus with a personal best throw of 40.65m (133-4.5), and fourth in the shot put with a throw of 12.68M (41-7.25). Brianna Hall took sixth in the discus with 38.85m (127-6). Aspen Neisius threw a personal best in the discus for ninth place, marking 38.12m (125-0.25). Lindsey Francque, Paulina Wienke, Jessica Burt, and Jackie Bergschultz all improved upon their personal bests in the hammer throw.
Placing second in the triple jump, Zaria Walker marked 10.65m (34-11.25), a personal best jump in her collegiate career.
Cassandra Meyer competed in the heptathlon, entailing the events of 100m hurldes, high jump, shot put, and 200m. Meyer had personal bests in two of the four events competed. Meyer ran 20.34 seconds in the 100m hurdles and 27.67 seconds in the 200m dash. The heptathlon will be concluded, along with the men's decathlon, on Friday, April 19.
