Hirsbrunner and Williams claim WIAC titles in record style.
Amber Williams continued to dominate the WIAC Championships. After winning the long jump on Friday, she returned on Saturday to win the triple jump and 60m hurdles. Williams won her third triple jump title with a WIAC Championship record of 12.33m (40-5.5). She came back soon after to win the 60m hurdles in a school record 8.96. Williams currently holds indoor school records in five different events.

Williams' pentathlon record came under threat by senior Megan Marotz. Marotz finished second overall in the pentathlon with a score of 3345, 3 points shy of William's record. Marotz achieved personal bests in four of the five contested events. Martoz's pentathlon is currently the fourth best in Division III this season.
Jacob Hirsbrunner took the title in the men's multi event competition. Hirsbrunner won two of his seven events on his way to breaking his own heptathlon school record with a score of 4873. His heptathlon ranks as the sixth best score in Division III.
Noah Steiner cleared 1.99m (6-6.25) in the high jump. His first time clearance tied him for fourth place overall.
The meet concluded with the men's 4x400m relay with the Pioneers finishing second for the second year in a row. The foursome of Alec Burcham, Tonie Johnson, Gregory Stribling, and Wyatt Thompson crossed the line with a time of 3:19.54.
The men's team finished sixth overall with a total of 57.5 points. UW-LaCrosse claimed the team championship for the 16th year in a row. The Pioneer women finished seventh with a total 60.5 points. UW-LaCrosse women took the women's team title with 144.5 points.
Krysta Parson and Johnathan Delgado were named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team while Devan Montgomery and Gregory Stribling were nominated as Scholar-Athletes.
The Pioneers will have one last weekend of national qualifying meets before the NCAA Championships on March 10-11 at North Central College.
