Seven Pioneers Named All-Region
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded seven Pioneers with All-Region honors on Monday. To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region.

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded seven Pioneers with All-Region honors on Monday. To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region.
Amber Williams was the lone female Pioneer to earn All-Region honors. Williams was ranked in the top-5 for the region in the triple jump (40-11.5/12.48m), long jump (19-11.5/6.08m), and high jump (5-5.25/1.66m).
Dan Arnold was honored for his region and national leading 13.91 time in the 110m hurdles.
Matt Brendemihl’s 47-0.25 triple jump was the second best mark in the region.
Matt Dwyer also had the second best mark in the region with his 17-0.25 pole vault.
Ian LaMere led the region with his DIII record 28:38.63 in the 10,000m and had the fourth best mark (14:19.08) in the 5,000m.
Evan Rossing had the fourth best javelin throw of the region with a 185-6 (56.55m) toss.
Kyle Whaley finished the season with the fourth best throw in the regional with a 55-7 (16.94m) mark.
