PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team had three players named 2015 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar Athletes, the organization announced.
Jess Butzen, Keri Treml and Jordan Schimke were all honored for their work in the classroom. “I’ve been fortunate enough to have athletes who are very serious about their schoolwork so it’s been a fairly easy task to keep them on track,” said Head Coach Lee Negrelli. “The athletes who received this award are just a few examples of the type of student-athletes we like to have in our program and will hopefully serve as motivation to others who would like to be recognized for their hard work in the classroom.”
