Pioneers have 3-4 showing through five days
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Through five days of action in Fort Myers, Fla. the University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team accumulated 3-4 record with seven games yet to play in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Through five days of action in Fort Myers, Fla. the University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team accumulated 3-4 record with seven games yet to play in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.
The women started on Saturday with a 6-2 loss to Dominican (Ill.) and then rebounded with an 11-2, five inning performance over St. Josephs (Conn.). Day two resulted in back-to-back losses as the women fell to Stevens Institute, 7-6, and Franklin & Marshall, 9-3.
The next morning, on March 16, the Pioneers came back to defeat Brockport, 3-1. Unfortunately they were unable to continue the victory streak as they dropped a match to Lasell by one, 4-3.Wednesday started off bright for the women as they earned an early 3-2 victory over Wooster and saw action against Mass. –Dartmouth later in the day.
The Pioneers have seven games yet to be played as they have a series against Alfred State and Manchester, concluding with a contest versus Knox and conference foe UW-Superior to round off the trip.
