PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Four members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team have been named to the All-Wisconsin state team for their efforts throughout the 2015 season.
Freshman Logan Rinderknecht was named one of the Offensive Players of the Year, and was also named to the first team All-State. He logged seven goals, three assists, 17 points and three game-winning goals throughout the 2015 season.
"Having four guys on the All-State team, one of which is the Offensive Player of the Year, is a reflection of the fantastic season we had," said head coach Enzo Fuschino.
Senior goalkeeper Scott Sibik was named to the first team All-State, and was also named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-North Region third team, which encompasses players from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Sibik finished the 2015 season with five shutouts, a goals against average of 1.01, a save percentage of .773 and 58 total saves.
"Scott continues the tradition of great goal keepers at UW-Platteville," said head coach Enzo Fuschino. "This is a well deserved honor for him. His playing and leadership skills will be greatly missed next year."
Senior defenseman Caleb Sedlacek and junior midfielder Jon Stopple were named to the honorable mention All-State team to finish out the honors for the Pioneers.
"These four athletes have demonstrated that through hard work on and off the field you can achieve great results," said Fuschino.
Fuschino was also named one of the All-Wisconsin Coaches of the Year for the 2015 season, where his Pioneers finished with a 10-4-3 overall record, just missing a national tournament bid.
