Men's Soccer heads to UW-Oshkosh for WIAC Tournament

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team travels to UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for the semifinal round of the WIAC Men's Soccer Championship.
UW-Platteville (6-10-3) is seeded fourth in the four-team tournament. The Pioneers posted a 1-3 record against its WIAC opponents during the regular season.
UW-Oshkosh (12-5-2) earned the top seed for the WIAC Championship by going 3-0-1 in its four league games during the regular season. The Titans secured the top listing with Sunday's (Nov. 2) 1-1, double-overtime tie with UW-Whitewater.
UW-Oshkosh has won its last three games with UW-Platteville, including a 2-0 decision on Oct. 26. The Titans posted a 2-1, double-overtime victory over the Pioneers in last year's WIAC Championship.
Another semifinal scheduled for Wednesday has third-seed UW-Superior (9-9-1) visiting second-seed UW-Whitewater (12-3-4).
Wednesday's winners will play at 6 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 7) in the championship match. The highest remaining seed will host the title game.
