Rakers and Westemeyer Selected To Hampshire Honor Society
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Two senior University of Wisconsin-Platteville football student-athletes have been named to the 2020 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. Long snapper, Andrew Rakers (Elm Grove, Wis.) and offensive lineman Hank Westemeyer (Johnston, Iowa) were among the 20 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players named to the honor society.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Two senior University of Wisconsin-Platteville football student-athletes have been named to the 2020 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. Long snapper, Andrew Rakers (Elm Grove, Wis.) and offensive lineman Hank Westemeyer (Johnston, Iowa) were among the 20 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players named to the honor society.
Rakers is majoring in environmental engineering and owns a 3.92 grade point average, while Westemeyer maintains a 3.80 grade point average and is majoring civil engineering.
The NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.20 grade point average or better throughout their college careers. A total of 1,454 players were honored from all NCAA divisions.
Qualifications for membership in the NFF Hampshire Honor Society include: have completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2019; achieved a 3.20 grade point average throughout entire course of undergraduate study; met all NCAA-mandated progress toward degree requirements; and been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2019 season.
