Dylan Hecker ran for 165 yards and three scores to lead the Titans, the defending national runners-up who have yet to trail this season.
After Hecker scored in the first quarter on a two-yard run, Luke Johnson tied the score on a 47-yard interception return for a touchdown. Hecker answered with a 31-yard TD three plays later, then added an eight-yard score in the third quarter.
The Pioneers cut the gap to 21-14, when Mark Johnson capped off a 12-play 70-yard drive with a three-yard scoring run. Three plays later, however, the Titans' Brett Kasper threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Dom Todarello for a 28-14 third-quarter advantage. Neither team was able to cross the goal line in the final period.
The Titans improved to 5-0 overall and took over sole possession of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 3-0 mark. The Pioneers, who had their eight-game regular-season winning streak snapped, fell to 5-1, 2-1.
Chandler Crary paced the Pioneer defense with a 17-tackle game that included two tackles for losses and a sack. The Titan defense picked off three passes and held the Pioneers to one score in four trips to the red zone.
