Zilbar named WIAC Football Defensive Player of the Week
UW-Platteville's Jacob Zilbar was named football Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Jacob Zilbar was named football Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The Tampa, Florida native, led the Pioneers to their first-ever shutout of UW-Stout, 21-0, on Oct. 25. Zilbar recorded a game-high 13 tackles and also tallied his fourth interception of the season.
Zilbar leads the Pioneers with 60 tackles and eight passes defended, ranking him fifth in the WIAC.
The 16th-ranked Pioneers host top ranked UW-Whitewater on Saturday with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
