• A key matchup for UW-Platteville could be its passing offense, which ranks second in the WIAC at 261.3 yards a game, against UW-Stout passing defense, which surrenders 269.3 yards per game in the air.
• The Pioneers' league leading third down conversion percentage of 48.4 will be tested as Stout's defense ranks first in opponents third down conversion with 25.3 percent.
• Pioneers lead the WIAC with 133 passing yards allowed and will look to take advantage of Stout's struggling passing game. Stout is last in the league with a 84.7 passing efficiency, completing just 47 percent of their passes and have thrown 14 interceptions.
A LOOK AT THE BLUE DEVILS
• UW-Stout enters Saturday's contest 1-5 and 0-3 in the WIAC. The Blue Devils' lone victory came against Loras, 21-17, on Sept. 13.
• UW-La Crosse scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to beat Stout 21-7 on Oct. 18 at Veteran's Memorial Stadium.
• The Blue Devils are using a two quarterback system after losing their returning starter Hank Kujak in the season opener. Garrett Peterson leads the passing game with 423 yards, but Aaron Koerner has thrown a team-best four touchdowns.
• Defensively, Stout has one of the top tacklers in the WIAC, Luke Bakkum. Bakkum ranks second in the league with 59 tackles and leads the WIAC with 11 tackles for a loss.

UW-Platteville and UW-Stout are meeting for the 59th time and the Pioneers hold a 33-24-1 all-time series advantage over the Blue Devils. The Pioneers have won the last three meetings, to go even in the last 20 meetings, 10-10.
NOTING LAST MEETING
UW-Platteville and UW-Stout combined for 1,006 total yards of offense, but the Pioneer defense forced four turnovers to help outlast the Blue Devils, 59-35, on Oct. 26, 2013. The Pioneers totaled 561 total yards of offense, while the Blue Devils tallied 445.
