Pioneers defeat #6 Bulldogs
SEGUIN, Texas - The UW-Platteville baseball team defeated #6 Texas Lutheran 7-2 on Friday night to open their 7-game spring break schedule.

SEGUIN, Texas - The UW-Platteville baseball team defeated #6 Texas Lutheran 7-2 on Friday night to open their 7-game spring break schedule.
The Pioneers improve to 2-4 overall on the season while the Bulldogs dropped to 10-5.
Senior left-hander Caleb Kaufman started and earned the win for the Pioneers. Kaufman carried a no-hitter into the 5th inning, struck out eight in 5.0 innings and allowed one run (0 earned). Freshman Nate Jenning threw 3.0 innings of relief and allowed one earned run and senior left-hander Scottie Gordon closed out the ninth inning.
Junior Josh Moses set the tone in the first inning with an opposite field solo home run to give the Pioneers and early lead. Jonathan Kelso finished with three hits and drove in two runs for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers will face the Bulldogs again in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 16 at 1:00 and 4:00 CST.
