Pioneers name athletes of the week; Dwyer & Williams earn WIAC honors
Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Boston Johnson, Sr. (Oshkosh, Wis./Oshkosh North). Guard. Johnson closed out his senior campaign with a terrific week, as he averaged 21.5 points, nine rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the Pioneers. Johnson shot a combined 14-for-22 from the field and a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line for the week. |

Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Morgan Horstman, Fr. (Bangor, Wis./Bangor). Guard. Horstman led the Pioneers in their battle with the nationally ranked No. 19 UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday. The freshman logged 12 points, grabbed six rebounds, and had two assists in the 67-54 loss. Horstman scored a team-high 16 points on five-for-seven shooting and went five-for-six from the free throw line in the Pioneers’ final game against UW-Stout for the 2015-16 season. Morgan tallied six rebounds and had five assists in the 99-71 loss. |

Men's Field Athlete of the Week – Matt Dwyer, Jr. (Palos Heights, Ill./St. Laurence). Pole Vault. Dwyer won the pole vault competition at the Spartan Invitational hosted by the University of Dubuque. His winning mark of 4.96m (16’-3¼”) was a school record. That vault ranks tied for first on the WIAC list and fifth on the National List. |

Women's Field Athlete of the Week – Amber Williams, Jr. (Milwaukee, Wis./Hamilton). Triple Jump. Williams won the triple jump competition at the Spartan Invitational hosted by the University of Dubuque. Her winning mark of 12.26m (40’-2¾”) broke the facility record and her own school record. That jump leads the NCAA list by 1’-3¾''. |
