Pioneers name athletes of the week, LaMere and Baribeau earn WIAC honors
Cross Country Female Athlete of the Week – Johanna Meister, Fr., (Darlington, Wis.) – Meister was the Pioneer's top finisher at the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational at Augustana. Meister finished the 6K course with a time of 24:42, a personal best of one minute and 51 seconds. Meister beat three UW-Whitewater athletes that had finished ahead of her at last week's Whitewater Invitational. |

Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week – Ian LaMere, Jr., (Green Bay, Wis./Southwest) – LaMere won the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational at Augustana in a course record 24:02. The previous record was held by Michael Spain of North Central with his 2010 Midwest Regional win of 24:07. LaMere also tied UW-Platteville's Cross Country school record for the second time in his career. LaMere first tied former National Champion Tyler Sigl's record during last year's fifth place finish at NCAA Championships. LaMere finished the 8K course 26 seconds ahead of second place, Ian Barnett (University of Illinois' top returner), and 36 seconds ahead of the next Division III runner. |

Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week –Mitchell Frager, So., (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) – Frager ran a personal best by 1:59 at the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational at Augustana last Friday. Frager completed the 8K course in 26:11 and was the Pioneer's sixth finisher. After missing the 2014 season due to injury, Frager was able to make a comeback to compete on the track team in the spring and has been able to stay healthy as he has trained himself to the next level. |

Golf Athlete of the Week – Stephanie Baribeau, Jr., (Cameron, WI/Rice Lake) – Stephanie Baribeau, Jr. (Cameron, WI) – Stephanie moved up 16 spots to finish sixth on Saturday, shooting a 73 (159 total). Her 73 tied the second low round of the two-day tournament, in a 98 player field at the Whitewater invite. The junior hit 12 of 18 greens and had four birdies to go along with 10 pars. She was one under par through 15 holes. Baribeau bogeyed hole 16 and finished up with two pars. |

Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week – Caleb Sedlacek, Sr. (Tiffin, IA) Defender- Caleb played two full games in defense for the Pioneers this week. He was solid in both games stopping several one-on-one attacks and starting attacks out of the back. Sedlacek has been a reliable presence in the back line that allowed only four shots in the win over Augustana. |

Men’s Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week – Andrew Muchowski Sr. (Menasha, WI) Andy played midfield in both games this week and was able to play effectively on both sides of the ball. He scored the first of four goals for the Pioneers in the game versus Augustana. Muchowski has a great physical presence in the midfield in both games this week. |

Women’s Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week – Lindsey Decker, Jr., (Galena, IL) Libero – Decker had two aces and 63 digs for a 4.5/dig per set. She passed a 2.36 for the week. The junior’s performance lead the Pioneers’ to a 2-2 record on the week, including two games with top 16 ranked teams, and wins over North Central College and Concordia University Chicago. |

Women’s Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week – Allison Jensen, SO (Lowden, IA - North Cedar), Right Outside Hitter – Jensen’s performance led the Pioneers two a 2-2 record on the week. The sophomore had 21 kills, 7 total blocks for the week, and hit .273. The Pioneers faced two losses came to 10th-ranked Stevens Point and 16th-ranked Elmhurst, but rebounded with wins over North Central College and Concordia University Chicago. |
