Pioneers name athletes of the week
Women's Basketball - Kassie Hansen, Senior (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) - Forward The Pioneers lost to UW- La Crosse, 75-66 on Feb. 2nd. Hansen shot 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) from the floor chipping in 13 points. She also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assists in 23 minutes of play. She shot the ball 100 percent from the floor and free throw line in the 2nd quarter scoring 7 of her 13 points in 6 minutes. |

Men's Basketball - Robert Duax, Senior (Dubuque, Iowa/Hempstead) - Forward Duax led the Pioneers to a 1-0 week with a 68-55 win over UW-La Crosse on Saturday, Feb. 2. Duax scored 20 points on 50 percent (8-of-16) shooting from the field, knocked down 3-of-7 3-point attempts and added two rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. |
Women's Field - Brittany Ehlen, Senior (Burlington, WI/ Burlington) Pole Vault Brittany won the pole vault competition at the Wartburg Indoor Select on Saturday. Her winning height of 3.57 meters (11' 8.5") was nearly a foot better than her nearest competitor. Brittany is currently ranked #2 in the WIAC and #13 on the NCAA National list. |

Men's Track - 4x400 Relay (Alec Burcham, Senior, Mount Horeb, Wis.; Kyle Buechner, Senior, Middleton, Wis.; Matt Hokanson, Junior, Cederburg, Wis.; Paul Rapp, Junior, Muskego, Wis.) This group of men won the 4x400 at the Wartburg Indoor Select in a time of 3:19.26. The time is currently #1 in the WIAC and #2 on the NCAA National list. |

Men's Field - Cody Faust*, Senior (Monroe, Wis./Monroe) Heptathlon Faust broke his own school record in the heptathlon at the Wartburg Indoor Select with a score of 5,021. Faust had personal bests in 5 of the 7 events. The mark currently ranks #1 in the WIAC and #3 on the NCAA National List. |

Wrestling - Devan VandenBush, Freshman (Luxemburg-Casco) 165 lbs. VandenBush was bumped up to 174 pounds vs UW-Oshkosh and earned an 8-0 major decision victory over Husam Alabed. |
