Pioneer Activity Center
The Pioneer Activity Center allows students, faculty, staff and the general public an opportunity to further their wellness and physical activities at a minimal cost. Physical activity is recognized as an integral part of ones well being and a well rounded educational base. These opportunities are to be the continuation or the beginning of a healthier individual. Both facilities offer an outlet for stress and general recreation. The Pioneer Activity Center has trained student employees whose objective is to provide the information and insight to help our members/students develop a healthier self.
Adjacent to Williams Fieldhouse, this facility includes a six-lane, 200-meter oval track, three-lane suspended walking track, three wooden courts, 25-yard indoor swimming pool, multi-purpose area (basketball, volleyball, tennis) and a diverse weight lifting facility (free weights, universal and hammer strength machines, stair masters, treadmills and aerobic windracer bicycles). A single membership is free to full-time UW-Platteville students. Various membership options are offered at reasonable rates and available to faculty, staff, the general public, part-time students or students with families.
